1. Replace Light Fixtures

Lighting is ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT elements in any space, and it’s one of the first areas we review with our clients when we start designing a room.  Not only can an updated fixture be more stylish, but proper lighting is crucial in the design of any space.  We highly suggest swapping out older, less vibrant ceiling lights first, and then working your way down.  Using wall sconces in lieu of table or floor lamps is another tip for adding an inexpensive luxury to elevate your space.

2. Upgrade your Outlets

Another simple way to instantly update your space is by upgrading your outlets.  They are one of the most basic elements in any home, and are often overlooked when remodeling or building a new home.  Replacing the typical looking outlets is one of the easiest ways to instantly upgrade your home.  We love the switchplate and outlets from Rejuvenation and Buster + Punch the best, for easy, no fuss, click and buy options.

3. Add New Vent Covers

The next item on our list are vent covers.  Whether, they’re on the walls, floors, or ceilings, a little attention goes along way in elevated your space instantly.  One of our absolute favorite vent brands is Aria, which provide vents with a modern and minimalistic look, but they do require a bit of work if your home is already built.  If this option isn’t in the cards for you, we suggest small, less obvious metal vents as a quick switch-out option.  We find Signature Hardware has beautiful options for a quick swap.
