And lastly, we can’t forget about the bottom of the tree. I’ve been a tree skirt gal for years, however, with our new home, I wanted to change it up a bit. Our main tree is between our dining and living room areas, so I felt a skirt here would take up too much additional square footage on the floor, and that was ultimately the deciding factor for us. I ended up doing a copper color because I had a lot of beige hues in the room, and that helped bridge the gap and worked well with the warm wood tones in the garland and green/brown/white color scheme in the ornaments. Pro Tip -> If you find there is a gap between your collar and tree stand, add some fabric inside the collar. We experienced this gap with ours, and we repurposed our old tree skirt as a filler, “waste not, want not.”
