1. TRADITIONAL & NOSTALGIA

Traditional Decor and Colors will always have a huge influence over the Holidays and this year is no exception We’re so excited to see so many popular designers still embracing the traditional idea for the holidays.  We’re a sucker for a good plaid or fair isle cross stitch pattern.  Even Red and Green combined or used separately are still very popular in holiday decor this year.

You’ll also see some designers used put a spin on the traditional red and green colors. This year, traditional Reds have a Crimson Hue makeover and traditional Greens have an Emerald Undertone. This is evident in Hearth & Hands Line this year for Target.  View All Our Finds & More for this Theme by clicking on the icons below!

2. NEUTRALS & NATURAL

The return to Nature is a Holiday Theme that took a strong hold last year, and we see it continuing this year!  This theme surrounds the use of real or realistic-looking garlands and trees, free of loud and ornate decor

Instead, the use of natural materials has become a major influence in holiday decor.  Rattan, wood, wood/sherpa/sheepskin, and pampas grass create a heavy impact.  It is a soft and organic approach to the Holidays, which has a heavily influence over another popular theme this year called Sustainability & Handmade, which you can read more about as you continue to scroll down.

3. PINKS & NAVYS

If you’re looking for a way to make your home stand out this holiday season, then this year’s Hot Pinks and Navy Blue theme is for you!  Not sure we’ll personally be “decking our halls” with this trend, but we do have an admiration for the pairing of these these two bold colors.

Not sure a pink tree or wreath is for you, try switching up your tree ornaments to blue and pink this year instead.  That’s a smaller switch and not too much commitment in a year or so, if you’re over it!  You don’t have to go full-on with the hot pink and blue to enjoy the beauty of this Holiday Theme!  View All Our Hot Pink and Navy Blue picks by clicking on the icons below!

4. LUXURY METALLICS

You can bet every year to have gold and silver metallics be incorporated in some fashion. This year we’re seeing a bit of the same as last—bold, high gloss metallics in everything from tabletop decor to wreaths and tree ornaments.

Metallics are classic, timeless, and always bring a sense of pop to a space. They look especially great paired with other metallics, or just about any color combo you chose for that added shine! Check out our favorite luxury metallic options below!

5. SUSTAINABILITY & HOMEMADE

As we mentioned previously, the neutrals and natural trend is still strong this year, but there’s also another trend that’s taken off: homemade, handcrafted, and sustainability.

This has become an important trend in the interior design world, so we’re so happy to see this pop-up this year for Holiday Decor.

We are fully immersed in this trend 100% and this Holiday Theme goes way beyond decorating – it’s a lifestyle.

This trends ideology includes creating your own decor, wrapping presents in recycled paper or reusable fabrics, and gifting other’s with homemade presents.

This On Trend Holiday Theme incorporates:

– Garlands made from popcorn or dried orange slices

– Paper snowflakes crafted from paper bags

– Hand knitted stockings and

– Fringed or frayed fabric for ribbon

All these items create that feeling of handcrafted homemade design that we love.  Check out some semi-handcrafted options below we recommend if you want to jump on this trend!

6. MERRY & BRIGHT

This year, we’re seeing the return of the whimsical theme cheekily named Merry & Bright.  This theme is colorful and vibrant decorative theme characterized by neon bold colors, pom-poms, glitter and metallics all mixed together.

This Theme is a little bit of everything—it’s both traditional and nontraditional at once. It’s full of bright colors and metallic textures, making it feel like you’re in a sophisticated upscale Candy Lane!

Check out all our hand-picked decor below if you’re ready to be Merry & Bright this year!

7. BLACK & WHITE

The Classic Black and White Holiday is making a comeback this year, and we’re all here for it. These two colors have always been an important influence in Holidays, and we’re seeing a shift this year away from black and white Modern Farmhouse Themed (Thank you Jesus) to a more modern and minimalistic approach.

You can look forward to seeing flocked trees, black-and-white ceramic menorahs, and lots of other modern takes on this classic style.

To be clear, this color combo has been an important staple for quite some time, but we’re loving the subtle and necessary “makeover” this popular theme seems to have this year!
